Gabel Haus reinterprets the traditional pitched roof to define a pair of modern semi-detached residences. The architecture is composed of three stepped, gabled volumes wrapped in board-formed concrete textures, creating a rhythm that breaks down the building's overall massing.
Deep-set pitched overhangs lined with dark, slatted screens provide shade and solar protection for the interior spaces while maintaining privacy from the street. At the front, a cantilevering planter box introduces integrated greenery across the facade, softening the geometric concrete forms and contrasting with the dark architectural louvers and granite cladded perimeter walls.
Inside, the layered facade creates a play of light and shadow throughout the day, balancing open views of the surrounding landscape with sheltered, private living zones.
